Functie

First mission:

Strategy Development: Develop a category strategy for Maintenance Services, including spend analysis, defining relevant sub-categories, benchmark between sites and internal stakeholder strategy alignment.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization at the 6 sites to understand their specific needs and challenges related to Maintenance Services.

Growth opportunity as Lead Buyer:

Potential permanent position as Lead Buyer Industrial Services Europe
Strategy implementation: Implementation of the new category strategy.
Strategic sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including RFPs, to select and onboard qualified suppliers.
Contract lifecycle management: Managing contracts from creation through execution to renewal
Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives across the maintenance services category in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Collaboration: Work closely with the Category Manager for Industrial Services and the Industrial Services Lead Buyers, aligning on strategy, and sharing best practices. Benchmark with other internal Lead Buyers and other industrial companies

Functievereisten

Experience in strategic purchasing, with a focus on services, in a procurement environment that is focusing on developing its maturity level.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop data-driven recommendations.
Technical expertise on purchasing processes & negotiation.
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
Strong influencing and change management skills, supported by an open mindset and a can-do mentality.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Awareness of the environment with an innovative mindset and eagerness to learn.
Ability to work autonomously.
Location: Genk (preferred) or other company locations, combined with home office
Fluency in English and French and preferably Dutch,
Mobility in France & Belgium
